Hi
! I’m Karen Taylor, Virtual Assistant/Administrative Consultant/Owner of Taylored Services LLC.
Most days you can find me working from my home office wearing jogger pants, a t-shirt and hoodie with purple fuzzy socks in winter or shorts and a t-shirt in summer.
I typically work in silence, which perplexes my husband because he needs music or the TV playing in the background while he works. Once in a while I do listen to Pandora…and spontaneous dance moves may or may not happen. š
I’m mostly known for being super (scary) organized with everything I do, being a planner, and volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. Giving back is important to me.
My love for everything administrative comes from a 25+ year career as an Executive AssistantĀ managing the lives of C-level executives in public and private companies. And before that, I played “Office” as a kid, and love(d) visiting office supply stores. Yep, not many friends but boy, did I have an awesome supply of sticky notes and pens!
I help busy business owners who are drowning in administrative details that keep them from focusing on their key goals. By managing those permanent details for them, they strengthen and grow their businesses and relationships, and regain balance in their lives.
Like you, in the beginning phases of building their businesses they did everything themselves. As their businesses grew, they tried to keep up that pace but quickly became overwhelmed. Soon after we began working together, they hadĀ renewed energy and tons of time to devote to their passions, not to mention being able to breathe. To hear them tell me they were able to finally coach their children’s sports teams or increase their bottom lines is why I love what I do!
On the weekends, you can catch meĀ hanging out with my husband exploring theĀ Traverse City area (š = cherry capital of the world) where we live (our dream location!), playing cards and board games, reading, and doing lots of online research. So I guess I’m a little bit of an introverted nerd; I’m ok with that. š

1. I grew up in Metro Detroit (Sterling Heights to be exact).
2. My favorite color is purple.
3. I met my husband on eHarmony nearly 20 years ago.
4. I’m a dog lover (rescued is my favorite breed!) even though I’m allergic to them (and cats…oh and dairy which just breaks my heart. Sorbet is just not the same as ice cream).
5. My idea of cooking is to boil water and throw in pasta noodles. Thankfully, my husband enjoys cooking and is good at it.
